Privacy policy

This policy explains how Beam Solar Care collects, uses and protects the personal information you give us. We keep it short and we keep it honest.

What we collect

When you request a quote or email us, we collect the details you provide — your name, email address, property location and anything you choose to tell us about your installation. We don’t collect more than we need to respond to you.

How we use it

Solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and provide our services. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t send marketing you didn’t ask for.

How form submissions are handled

Our enquiry form is processed by Web3Forms, which forwards submissions to us by email. Your details are transmitted securely and stored in our email and business records.

Cookies and analytics

We use three analytics services to understand how visitors use the site so we can keep improving it:

• PostHog — product analytics. Sets cookies and uses your browser’s local storage to recognise a returning browser. We host events through our own reverse proxy.
• Google Analytics 4 — site traffic measurement. Sets cookies; data is sent to Google.
• Meta Pixel — measures the effectiveness of any advertising we run on Facebook or Instagram and may be used for retargeting. Sets cookies; data is sent to Meta in the United States.

None of these identify you personally by default; they tag your browser with an anonymous identifier. We don’t sell the data, and we don’t use PostHog for advertising.

We also use local storage for one functional purpose: to remember whether you’ve already seen our thermal-inspection offer, so we don’t show it to you again.

If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, PostHog won’t load. You can opt out of any of the trackers by blocking cookies for this site in your browser settings, or by using your browser’s privacy controls.

AI assistant

Our website assistant is powered by Anthropic’s Claude. The messages you type into it are sent to Anthropic to generate replies; Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. We log conversations to a Cloudflare-hosted database so we can review them for quality and improve the service — we never use them for advertising and never share them. You can ask us to delete a specific conversation by emailing us. If you submit your details through the assistant to request a quote, they’re also emailed to us via Web3Forms, the same as the website form. A Cloudflare Turnstile check runs to prevent automated abuse, and per-IP rate limits cap how many messages anyone can send in a minute.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time. Email hello@beamsolarcare.com.au. We handle personal information consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
